EVP-1

The EVP-1 E-mini Nasdaq trading system is based on a pattern initially observed and developed between 1999-2003. It can take both long and short trades intra-day. It begins trading at the open of the trading day and trades through the close.

EVP-1 triggers Nasdaq futures trades based on E-mini S&P signals. The E-mini S&P generates a stronger signal while the Nasdaq has greater follow through on the trades.

This strategy uses a $1,000 stop loss per E-mini Nasdaq futures contract and a $2,000 trailing stop loss. This is one of our few strategies that uses a trailing stop loss. Recent research suggests that we can great improve this strategy with a $700 stop loss per E-mini and no trailing stop loss taking long only trades.

The goal of this strategy is to capture big momentum moves that last throughout the day. There is a fixed stop loss and end of day exit. It is a long term day trade strategy.

The subscription is a closed code annual subscription and is available in the Tradestation and Multicharts platforms.

EVP-1 E-mini Nasdaq Input Settings

The time based inputs are based on EST. These inputs will need to be adjusted for the timezone of your computer based on its difference from EST. For example, if your computer is on CST, then LongStartTime should be 845 instead of 945 since CST is one hour earlier than EST.

The stop loss and profit targets are based on a per contract basis. If the cntrcts increases, the dollar amounts for stop loss or profit target do not need to also increase since the stop loss is calculated on a per contract basis.

A stop loss first bar and a profit target first bar are required when having different stop losses for longs and shorts.
